Generals must never show discouragement, doubt or fatigue

We all love, adore and often look forward to getting inspired. We love to see other people motivate us. If we're feeling down or the blues we look for certain people to bring us up in spirit. Maybe we ask someone to join us for a drink. Or maybe we go and look to talk to one of our friends and chat in the hope they can not only listen to us but to give us advice as well.

But here is the key.. we never go and look for people to bring us up that. Are most of the time down themselves. If we feel depressed and want to snap out of that funk we are not gonna go to a suicidal person for advice or in the hope for them to bring us back up. If anything if we do go look for people who have a similar thing going on or worse we do it unconscious to feel better for the sole reason that 1. We are not the only ones in this hell or 2. To feel better by seeing other people in a worse situation than us not in the reason to be evil but for us to feel that our situation is not as bad and that makes us feel better. This points come from psychology itself.

Now if your reading this I'm pretty sure that you want to be the person people can go to to get inspired, not by our failures or discouragements but by our wins and the thought s and opinions we can give. If your a leader in any way in your life whether you are a supervisor at work or your the representative of some sort of group. You know that people must never see you in doubt, discouragement or fatigue.

Because if your people see you not in 100 percent you allow fear and doubt to enter your troops mind. And that can equal to failure or not as big of win you wanted. If your the boss or the leader you never and I mean NEVER have or will ever have the luxury to complaint or blame someone else for a failure. Anytime something goes sour or bad everybody else under you gets to complaint or blame someone else but not YOU.

If you complaint and and start blaming other people your people will see this consciously or unconsciously as discouragement. That will make your people lose faith in you which equals failure because they will not work as hard because they are not motivated nor inspired. And the main person who is not only responsible but can in your work will be the leader which could be you or will be you one day.

General Patton from WW2 wrote several ideologies or concepts on what leadership meant to him and what took to be one. This concept of never letting the people under you see you in doubt is one the concepts General Patton wrote down. General Patton was always a lighthearted gut deep down and he took life lightly and I'm pretty sure he had much love and peace with in him. But when it came to getting the job done he put on what people called the "scowl" which was his war face, it was a face that if you saw it showed seriousness and brought in intimidation. You don't have to put a scowl on just like Patton but you do need to never show discouragement, doubt or fatigue to your troops and begin to motivate and inspire.
