What is election anxiety. And how to overcome it.
As many Americans, you may be sitting down in you to at
night and coming across something that had to do with the current presidential
election. Some people’s palms are sweaty; some people actually have trouble
concentrating and some even go as far as not accumulating peaceful sleep.
Whatever it is there is concern that is growing more and
more by the day and now its growing by leaps and bounds since we are so close
to the election day. Who will be the president of this great country is what in
the majority of the American population’s mind.
People are concern for many reasons; many we just keep
hearing about over and over again. Some people think that Donald Trump is a
great person to take in that order but there are others who are terrified
because of this. And the same thing is happening with miss Hillary Clinton.
I believe it’s a good thing to have opinions, and I’m sure
if we were to really get down to the notch of all of this we would find good
points from both sides, but that is beyond the point right now. We have to
realize that there are people who are really concerned about the election and
this concern is sending more and more in deeper form of stress and anxiety.
It’s a little crazy to think that even kids are paying
attention to the election more than at any other point in history. My little
cousin the other refused to speak to me for the sole reason that I was pointing
out some good points I heard earlier on the radio on the candidate that she didn’t
like.
It’s clear to see that the issues here going on are
affecting the more than norm crowd. So, if that is the case imagine how it is
affecting the ones who are really paying attention to the news feed of both of
these candidates.
Some people are reporting heart palpitations and other
anxiety like symptoms. Loss of a good night rest could mean a dramatic loss in
focus for the next day and that decreases anybody’s quality of life. There are
even reports of people who are going after the good ole meds to relief
themselves a bit of the high edge that they are experiencing when it comes to
observation and ongoing thoughts of the election.
If you are one of these people them let me tell you that you’re
not alone. I’m also going to give you some tips that you can do to relief some
of that edge if you feel it coming strong to the point that is uncomfortable.
So here we go
1.
Practice
the Callahan Techniques.
Many of you have heard me speak on this technique and how
fast and powerful it is when it comes wanting to relief yourself of some
emotional baggage that is in the way.
2.
Don’t
watch the TV as much when they are reporting about the election.
It’s a little hard to escape the chances of coming across
some news of the election or candidates now a day but you can dramatically
reduce its influence by reducing your time on TV especially when it comes to
the news. If it’s disturbing, you to the point that is uncomfortable then
reducing your viewing tube experiences may sound like a good idea.
3.
Realize
that whoever wins will not change the country right away.
Being the president of the United States is one thing and
implementing your plans into effect take even longer. Most of the presidents
never get to implement 100% of their plans into effect EVER!
4.
If
its uncomfortable talk to your doctor.
If you are really having trouble with things like sleep or
concentrating or having a normal life period because of this then talk to your
doctor and see if he or she can give you some medical advice on what to do to
help, maybe a small prescription to ease you may help.
5.
You
are in control of your destiny.
Remember on the things that we always talk about. You create
your reality, no one else can. You can be influenced if you allow it but NEVER
EVER controlled. Only you hold the key
