How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time

How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.

Overwhelming or feeling overwhelmed is probably one the most if not the most powerful ways to be crushed. You go to work or to your house or to you car etc and you see that things need to get done maybe some cleaning, work, organization etc. But there are times where its just too much to endure and handle. it really is not but you think it is and that is what crushes you. And its not only in the workplace or at home but on yourself.
Maybe there's a crisis, maybe there's a situation that came about that you didn't expect. Its really easy to look at one of those events and get overwhelmed, we allow the overwhelming to get the best of us. And I understand, because if your house gets burned down and you loose you job and your spouse leave you it sounds really stupid on my part to tell you to not feel overwhelmed and that your actually allowing it to get the best of you. So have your moment of overwhelm and after that realise that no matter what you see in front of you and no matter how big it may look you don't have to carry all that load.
It all starts with one step. That is all that must be on your mind, that one step. Because that is all you can handle but somehow subconsciously you feel you are unlimited in consuming. If there is an elephant in your refrigerator for you to eat you cannot eat it all in one bite, its impossible! But if you start with one bite you can finish it. It might take a year but if you focus on just bite at a time you can finish it.
What most people do is they look at the big thing in front of them and skip the one bite and focus on trying to get the whole thing out at once. And once they realise they cant all hell breaks loose, they get worried, they get angry some may even cry and scream " why me?! Why me?!" No wonder people feel negative emotions instead of energy when a challenge in life presents itself.
But it also is not just confined into events that present themselves that you have to handle but also when it comes to thing you want to see happen "goals" if you never made a good sum of money in your life so far and then just want to make a million dollars then your gonna have a hard time, because again your looking at the big thing instead of just that one bite.
It's not easy to take on a big set of weights when you have never worked out before. And even when you are capable of being able to lift you don't have the progressive motivation and enough successes that you may doubt yourself and give up. It is always easy when you focus on the one bite at a time. It doesn't look that bad anymore and it doesn't look so overwhelming either if anything it looks like an excited challenge and we all love those.
It also goes very well with being in present time. When your too focus on a "what if" or some type of future incident you are looking at your current situation with a negative future vision, now there is nothing wrong at looking at things and seeing what they could become, that is a very necessity perspective to make things happen, if it wasn't for what people call tunnel vision we would not have many of the things we currently benefit from like a light bulb or a car etc. The consequences land on looking at your situation in a negative way, and the only reason why it looks negative is because your putting a future judgement on it with a "negative" spin. You can add a future vision to your situations as long as their positive but you must be a very positive person to achieve this, because most of us lets face it we don't have super will power when it comes to positive mental focus although it is possible.
If you could learn to stay in present time. Then you wont put most of your focus on the future. And that will bring you peace and relaxation. And will cause you to preserve your energy for you to overcome your situation. Life is simple the reason you may think is complicated is because your looking at the whole thing Instead of just taking it one step at a time and even if you don't think that way you are still doing it. Because its impossible to perfectly do or think two thing's at once, you might as well take easiest and more beneficial way out. Which is the simplest and that's taking it one step at a time.
